Samir has over 25 years of experience building successful technology companies. He has launched many software and electronic products from concept to successful market penetration. Recently he was the CFO at Cambridge Technology Enterprises (smartShift), a multi-national software transformation company and was instrumental in the turnaround of the company. Prior to that he was the CIO at Boston Analytics, an offshore Knowledge Processing Organization, and Founder/President of Tribiosys, a technology and process consulting firm for bio-techs and pharmaceuticals. Samir holds Master’s degrees in Computer Science and Physics from Northeastern University.
Jeff has built and led technology sales teams for over 25 years. He spent 10 years at Apple Computer where he was a 4-time winner of the “Golden Apple” sales achievement award and set a company-wide record for managing the first team to ever exceed $100M in revenue. During his 6 years at Media 100, Inc., a manufacturer of Mac and PC-based digital video/multimedia systems as their VP Worldwide Sales he managed direct and channel sales throughout the world. And most recently, Jeff was VP Sales for The Support Group, a well-respected developer of custom software solutions with offices in Boston, New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Vice President, Marketing
Alan’s management and marketing skills have been honed through 5 successful technology start-ups and two turn-arounds. These followed his role as the Marketing Manager for Unisys Healthcare International Division. He has successfully consulted with small businesses to develop sustainable marketing and business plans. He has been an active speaker at conventions and has been published extensively in trade journals. He is a graduate of two schools of management New South Wales Institute of Technology Technical College & University of Phoenix, majoring in finance and marketing as well as general philosophy in Liberal Arts at Sydney University.
Bill Starr is a senior financial advisor and acting CFO for Brightleaf Solutions. He brings more than 20 years of international experience in finance, entrepreneurship and business development. He is the Managing Director of The CFO Center, where he leads a team of CFOs to provide CFO services on a part-time basis. As part of his role, Bill serves as the CFO for TechHub Boston, as well as for a select number of high-growth startups in the media and technology space. He is a former investment banker with The Collins Group and Macquarie Bank, and a former Senior Manager, PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is a Canadian Chartered Accountant (CPA, CA), and earned his bachelor’s degree in business at Bishop’s University in Quebec, Canada.
